In observance of Worlds Day Against Child Labour, WOCON Lagos Team paid an Advocacy Visit to the Force Intelligence Board (FIB) at the Force Headquarters at Kam Selem House Obalende. Present in the House were 20 FIB Top officials of the Intelligence Unit who listened with rapt attention as the Director of Programmes spoke about the very sad state of Child Labour in Lagos State and indeed Nigeria. She spoke about different dimensions of children labour observed in the State and called on the Nigeria Police to keep taking action and keep working with the CSOs to ensure Lagos State is free from this scourge.

The meeting was very interactive and the top officials came up with very interesting questions about our work  and about the state of Child Labour in Lagos state especially Lagos Island. We were able to introduce our focus area, the feedback from them was a referral to Family Support run by Lagos State Government in designated places to handle human right cases
