World Day Against Trafficking in Persons is a global observance held on July 30th each year to raise awareness about the alarming issue of human trafficking. It serves as a reminder to take collective action to prevent this crime, protect victims, and prosecute those responsible.
On 11th January 2023, WOCON was invited as a Panelist by the Arabian Gulf Alumnae of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. to a Webinar to discuss the GLOBAL IMPACT OF HUMAN TRAFFICKING. Objective of this Webinar was to educate people on the risks associated with Human Trafficking and the Red Signs to look out for.
WOCON has been engaged in various programs and activities for the enforcement of the rights of women and children particularly the Girl-child in Nigeria since its inception in 1995. We are also strong advocates for the entrenchment of sustainable democracy and good governance in our country.
